As an indication of how stupid I am...can you access websites via Tablets? Could I post on CC via one? If so, it it via my broadband coonection or mobile phone or something else? Sorry for being so thick.

On an Android tablet such as Kindle Fire or Nexus there's even an app (Tapatalk) for posting on Cyclechat. I can't remember how much it costs.

As for websites, this is the raison d'etre for tablets. WiFi hotspots allow you to read mail, access the web, update your news apps to read later. It's not stupid not to know these things though,

I've got the 16GB and I'm struggling to use all of it so I wouldn't let the memory be a dealbreaker (no offence Norm). I'd also expect the 16gb to come down by maybe £20 before Xmas (if you're thinking of this as a pressie?).
The 16gb has just dropped £40 (well, announced but I didn't think enacted yet) so I'm not sure it's got much room left to drop much more before christmas. I've had the Nexus since it came out (3 months?) and it's about 60% full with only about a dozen albums on it. The problem, IMO, is that it does so well with so many apps and they look / play so well that you just keep grabbing more. I haven't had an issue with the space, but I'd have even less of a problem with 32gb.

I agree that not allowing access to Google Play is a deal breaker.

Yes, it's what they do and about the only browsing / posting I've done in the past 6 months has been on an iPad or the Nexus. My computer is gathering dust.

Norm, the problem is that no more 16gb will be produced, It's now officially dead in the water. It was a weird thing for Google to do, they didn't say "The Nexus 32gb replaces the 16gb which replaces the 8gb". The 32gb is a direct replacement for the 16gb. The 8gb afaik remains and I'd expect a further price drop on the 16gb. But again it's afaik. I'm just getting back into tech after 2 and half years out, it's taking a while!!

I think the 8gb has gone, the 16 is the price that the 8 was and the 32 has come in at the top.
