A trip to the tip is incomplete without a gander at the metals skip.
I hauled this out, it's disappointingly mid range but its quite cute and has Mafac racer and a Stronglight 49D. The dérailleurs are the ones I truly despise, Simplex, the ones with the plactic parts. I have not looked at the hubs and rims yet but I am thinking 1976-1978. Disraeli gears and velobase can wait, busy cooking in a few minutes.
Its for the missus, her back is complaining and she has grief stepping over her other bikes. I love the bars and the paint, everything else is meh.
No surprise, Maillard hubs. The sad thing is that it's safe to say the chain rings are the original items, there isn't much wear on them is there?

Wow, what a find. Yes that chsinset has had very little wear, must be worth a bit on its own.
It's quite a large size for a Ladies frame.
I'd say it's early sixties.

Recently picked up similar, early 80s Pug. Looking forward to doing it up.

Excellent find indeed uk tips are not so good but skips are always worth a look found one or two good ones, its a real pleasure rescuing a lovely old bike like that one

My guess is 60's as well. I had a 49d in those days. Also if removing the cranks, the crank extractor tool has a different thread size from the modern shimano types.
