Ok it may be a bit geeky but just building up a replacement fixie and discovered that I hadnt got a sprocket to suit my fitness of lack. So bought a talon 19t sprocket from St John Street C and when it arrived discovered it must be made out of cardboard. Has anyone else used this make to let me have any feedback on their durability/strength etc? My old steel ones lasted years without noticeable wear i'm a bit worried i'll chew through this in no time as South Shropshire hills give plenty of grind to fixed transmissions. Thanks

Never heard of Talen, wouldn't fancy any part of my fixed drivetrain feeling like cardboard though. You could get a nice Surly or EAI for £20, they're nice and solid.

I'm with you on that one, some things just feel better in steel, it'll teach me not to internet shop that's for sure.
