I will have to take a small brush with me I the commute as there is loads of glass on the cycle path and the council is not liable to do anything about it.

yeah it bugs me to hell some eejit managed to drop a glass bottle on the cycle path outside our work, of course only on the cycle path and not the footpath bit...and Im sure it was accidental:whistle:... it was all clumped together originally so you could avoid it but seems to have spread out as the days have gone on, plus weve got aload of acorns and debris off trees to contend with on it too.

Nice warm commute in with out the winter layers, could have not bothered with boil in the bag hi-viz being a plonker though I dediceded to wear it. Top twonks on the way into work this morning, if you have your emergecny stop lights on it doesnt mean you can park acroos the lane for the traffic lights, no you cant park oin a curb on a mini round about but as you also decided to pull out in front of me and do a three point turn on a min round about common sense is something only others talk about and finally there may be parked cars but stopping with out looking will p*ss people off.

Good ride this morning, nice to see to see the turning of autumn as I pass through the park.

I hop off and opt to use a zebra crossing for a particularly busy road and I've noticed some drivers will not stop for me, even though I'm a pedestrian at that point.

Yes acorns and the road from my house to the main road has conker trees either side so the road is covered in a paste of crushed conkers

Very mile temperatures this morning. 13° when I left for the station at 7am. Short sleeves still, in October, not bad. Still no need for lights either to be switched on yet but I think by next Monday I will have no choice.
It was a lovely ride in along the A21 today, teaming up with a couple of other fellow commuters to make a nice little speedy peleton along the route. Traffic was quite light too which was a bonus.

Decent ride in today; overcast so relatively mild. First outing this season for the zip-neck base layer but no gloves. Took the back streets today as I'm starting to feel like I'm pushing my luck skirting down the outside of static traffic.

Not much to report although did clock a burnt-out boat on the river which was potentially somebody's home

I clean up trash in my neighbourhood every morning as I walk, so rather than ignore it - knowing that the cretin who dropped it will not come back to pick it up - I pick it up, easy enough and it looks better after I do. A simple brush and dustpan can be used to remove glass.

Directly home after work to best limit further topping migration on the two reduced posh co-op pizzas acquired at the end of play and squirrelled away vertically in my panniers..

Mused upon going out again; it was a lovely night and I really needed some coleslaw to go with my score so off it was to Waitrose. Arrived in a bizarrely good mood and was pleasantly surprised to find a reasonable amount of reduced stuff despite the relatively early hour.

On the way back I took a detour out of the city through Wytham and Wolvercote then back in along the tow path. Home now after a really nice ride, enjoying an alcohol-free Guinness and some Pink Floyd while waiting for my reduced beer-battered haddock to cook; a bit smug that I find this and some broccoli more appealing than a pizza currently.

About 26 nice miles today

which in theory is a nice idea, but I counted on the way in today theres probably half a dozen broken glasses/bottles, indicator/brake lights, bits of debris Id need to clear up. Maybe it doesnt make me seem community spirited, but I dont really see its my job to clear up the mess others are leaving.

fair enough when someone dropped a glass on the road outside my house, yes I got my brush and dustpan out to clean it up as it was specifically in my interest to do so as I was most likely to suffer punctures from leaving it, but Im not really prepared to do it elsewhere.

I have a large oak tree in my front garden every year i used to clean up the leaves and pile them up for the council until dog walkers started to let their dog do their business iin it. You would them watch children jumping in. Most people just think whats the point once you clean it up a week later there will be more glass there.

Left home 6.20am this morning third morning on trott all lights have been on, felt colder this monring so had wooly hat covering up whats left o hair. National work from home day hardly a car on the road nice straight forward ride in with little to no agro. This time last year my legs would be aching as we reach Thursday today not evern a twinge.
