My left knee has eased up but my left hip (the broken one) and my feet are playing up as we've spent the 10 days away walking (or hobbling in my case) about 5 plus miles each day.

Wet, cold, grim this am. Should have gone full rain jacket/gloves but didnt. pitch black so should have put a stronger light on. Wont miss these days when retired.

Its being stuck in a metal box with thousands of others going nowhere slowly. Brings out the red faced reform voting, daily mail reading hatred amongst them and cyclists are an easy target.

But you know you are cycling and therefore must be having more fun than they are!

Dug out the Pro-Vis Gillet I picked up over last Christmas break in the sales. Got it because my super toasty thermal jackets are both black, and I don't like commuting in black. It's not had much use as I promptly fell off my bike just after Christmas and only used it twice. By the time I was back on the bike commuting, it was late Spring !
