We have, cracking the flags here !

The sun is shining nicely in Worcester too. I'll probably try a working from home commute at lunchtime.

Its clear London is being discriminated against - sort it out Starmer -

After yesterday's traffic I took the cycle / tow paths into town, which was quite nice. Running late I ended up going through town to work rather than back along the tow path, which would probably have been a bit repetitive although I always appreciate the lack of dickheads and interactions by the river were overwhelmingly positive as usual.

A lot chillier today with much fog so I was pretty much back to winter clothing again. Passed a very reluctant looking kid on a bike; who seemed to be paying zero attention to anything - drifting out in front of me from a junction with a housing estate without even looking, failing to acknowledge my bell and floating across in front of me as I tried to pass on the diminishing space on his outside.

Not sure if it was his mum but I passed a woman on a bike just down the road who it sounded like she was issuing a robust b*llocking in some Arabian dialect as I rode away. Kid passed me again on the cycle path as I was taking some crap photos and I soon caught up - this time he did move over upon the demand of my bell and got a wave of thanks in reward for paying attention (and possibly commiseration for having a mental mother).

Did have some knobhead bus driver pull out in front of me with zero good reason on St. Aldates; maintained my momentum and tried to overtake but ended up getting cut off as he pulled out to overtake more cyclists without checking his mirror / giving a sh*t. Best I managed was mouthing my distain to him in his mirror, not that he seemed bothered. Not worth reporting but just another example of the unnecessary, inconsiderate, low-level twattery we're forced to endure daily...

A cold start but I didn't need a coat on the way back.

Some impatient drivers around last night - the award goes to the van who pulled out of a side road, drove for 200 m on the wrong side of the road (past a queue of cars he couldn't wait for a gap to join) and then at the red lights on the next junction merrily indicated left and pulled across everybody. I watched from a bemused distance and listened to the aggravated beeping.

Preferred this morning's birdsong in the sunshine.

"...aggravated beeping. "
That's why they gave us horns in the car, more anonymous than shouting.

Many more to come, I'm afraid.

London must have done a deal with those thieving Northerners - we got our sun back today, but the warmth was not returned.
Lovely commute until near the end when 2 sets of roadworks near 2 schhols resulted in ridiculous driving, Green traffic light means floor it through roadworks ignoring the fact there are hundreds of children around.
roadworks delayed you, no worries, just turn left from right hand lane, ignore giveway lines and pull out into traffic forcing the vehicles on main road to stop suddenly.

It wouldn't be so bad, but the frivers I saw doing these actions all had their own children in cars.

clearly they do not link motor vehicles with children being knocked down
anyway, forunately for me, I observed all this and was not involved and had a great ride. My fastest of the week
