A little breezy and also just a teensy bit damp on the return.

My car MOT over ran so I only got one soaking today. Rather than taking the short route to garage by the flooded bridleway, I had to divert to the London Road cycleway. I should have stayed on road though. Some folk in cars saw a person on a bike and slowed up appropriately and tip toed through puddles but other eejits sped up and swerved towards them making sure they soaked you. And some folk and probably the same folk complain cyclists don't use cycleways👎

What's happened here? Did these car crash into one another? They look like they're in a field at a strange angle.

I'm on a garage forecourt looking directly across the road; the blue and white cars were travelling opposite directions on the road. The red car was about to leave the garage.

Meeting in edgbaston the other day, so brompton & train.

Nice break from my normal visits of central Brum which I quite dislike, reasonable bike lane along Bristol road, though facing into two lanes of traffic isn't the nicest experience.

Looks like it's going to be a cold one this weeks. Tyres upgraded from 15 year old 100 stud "Snow Studs" to "Marathon Winter Plus" with 240 studs. Not taking chances - if it's wet and cold I'll take the van from now on (or work from home). Ice is rather good at breaking hips and pelvises !

so not elvis the pelvis ?

Gotta do mine but freezing temperatures overnight aren't due until Thursday, so I will have to do them one evening this week.

out this morning decided weekend would rather be on a bike than stuck in the car. Somone gave me some advice on this forum about glove inserts this time last year, have to say its one one of the best bits advice ever been given cycing wise hands were nice and warm this morning even if the rest of me wasnt lol. First really cold cycle in and took it slow got there just took longer than it has ever done before.
Will probably only cycle up till wednesday this week.

I'm WFH today, but it looks nice and dry, if cold. Hoping forecast snow/rain doesn't fall tonight as it could leave some dodgy surfaces. Although looking dry and cold for rest of week.

Friday night was about as windy as I'd want to ride, mostly fun, just one or two instances where it was shoving me and I wasn't completely in control!
Today cold and dry. Got the big gloves out, might have to remember the rest of my cold riding protocol and find my buff and another layer. Fine once I'd warmed up, surfaces all easy.
