Nice ride to start with, but about a third of the way round unexpected rain began to lash down. After joining the A38 I was behind an Audi in traffic, the driver failed to move off with the traffic. Of course when he stopped at the red light he was phone very much in hand as clearly shown on my footage.

Again, further down the road, a driver failing to keep up with the traffic actually had a laptop open on her passenger seat!

Not bothering sending that in, as it's not an offence per se. Careless driving would have to be shown and simply being slow to pull away would not be enough.

Two close passes, one by a large VW Luton van who is having a lucky escape because the VRM could not be read on my footage, front or rear, and another from a BMW driver who had lovely clean registration plates.

A bit of rain and the idiots all seem to emerge!

I wanted to commute on the bike today but still dosed up and feeling tired  so i guess i will have to wait at least another day .

I seem to have noticed a lot of ninjas on bikes recently. Not sure what's going on, but they weren't delivery drivers.

Nearly got right and left hooked last night. Approaching a crossroads near work, I usually have someone from the opposite carriageway trying to cut across my path, so I was ready for that one. But a lad in a golf shot past me and turned left, or aborted it, as my brakes screeched to a halt just in the cycle box. Swore under my breath and stood there shaking my head at both drivers, as the opposite carriage way driver was then stuck in the middle on red.

The Alan Newton Way has been a bit flooded recently (near home) but there were signs up saying road closed. Noticed there had been heavy machinery on the 'farm track' and the flooded area had been levelled. It looks like long awaited repairs are going on the track (Alan Newton Way) as it's badly eroded from run off from the fields - it was badly surfaced from the start, becoming a total mud bog in the wet so the council had to remove the lot and start again. It only really lasted a couple of years before it returned to suitable for tractors, MTB and gravel bikes. Fingers crossed the surface gets a good repair as it's a great way of getting south and west from where I live avoiding the busy main roads.

Fairly un-eventful morning today - much prefer mornings !

6° cold, dark and misty over the Medway this morning. It turned into a glorious sunrise.

For the second time this week I was nearly wiped out by a moton changing lanes suddenly and without indication. Bloody arsechicken #1
I was then nearly wiped out by a ped running across the road. How we didn't collide, I don't know. Arsechicken #2

What's that arch structure in the background? Can't work out if it's a modern installation or the remains of a ruined church!

My new lodger, who also works for us, was concerned the other day that I 'left it late' to leave home at 8am for a 9am start in the office (she was driving). I got in to work at 08.30am....ahead of my colleagues.

What would you do?

I was stopped at lights on red. 3 cars in front of me, all of us waiting for right turn filter light to go green. Light turns green for us. First car goes, second car goes, but 3rd car doesn't budge. After some time I decided to go round it. I reckon the driver then saw my bike lights in the wing mirror, realised the lights were green and darted forward, made the right turn but left me now stuck on the red light again.

I was so tempted to tap on the back window to wake the driver up instead of trying to move in front of the car.
