Morning folks.
Last nights commute home was a fair old windy affair. Made for very hard work and slow progress. Not fun to be honest.
This morning I woke up to rain but by the time I had left home it had stopped. I should have taken my long finger gloves. The temperature was showing 10°, so thought no need, but the rain made the ambient temperature feel colder. Schoolboy error right there. Very cold digits during the ride.

Back from holiday and back on my pre work ride.
Very windy this morning. Nice to see it much lighter . Its far more pleasant riding in daylight.

Intrigued by the number of people who think traffic laws do not apply to them, whether its parking on double yellows, stopping in yellow zog zagged area outside of schools to pick up / drop off or parking on corner of junctions etc.

None of the above directly affected my ride, just an observation.
Sadly, had to get back home to get work started

Somehow got lucky weather-wise on the way home last night.
Was playing 5s after work and it was blowing an absolute hooley and then chucked it down.
By the time I cycled home, there was a weird lull in the weather - it'd stopped raining and I had a lucky tailwind!

This morning, absolutely freezing - felt like it was about to snow.

Record high for this date today, very close to 90F. Sunny though and not too humid. Everything is blooming. Sorry, no commuting, but I thought the nice weather somewhere else might cheer a bit. 🌞☀️

Sorry about that, but sometimes escaping early is the wisest course of action. Anyway, I thought you might like to see a picture of one of my oleanders just now:

shocking commute today. Just as the train was pulling out of the station the conductor walks through the carriage asking if I am aware the train has been diverted to via Wigan (instead of Bolton). Nope.

Had to get off at the next stop (Hindley) which left me with 10 uphill miles with strong headwind and hale/sleet on horrible A Roads with close passes a plenty. Whole commute took two and a half hours to travel 20 miles☹️
