Just a short commute for me tonight, 0.75mile ride to the station a 43miles train and 4miles ride home. Part of me was hoping the train would be late so I had an excuse to extend the first ride in the warm sun. I had promised folk I would try and get back for a group ride.

One good thing about the train journey someone had got on down south where technically full sized bikes are not allowed and occupied the cycle rack so there was nobody sitting there, nor luggage/ prams etc and space straight away for my bike 👍

final day of commuting this week, work as always gets in the way back to full cycle commute next week. Got to love Easter school holidays. Virtually traffic fee commute into work, even drivers seem less stressed one actually gave way to me last night unheared of in south London. Nice sunny commute into work with bonus of watching sunrise in the morning still slower than my best last year but thats probably due to all temporary traffic lights Thames water have put in digging up the road to justify the price increases.

Today i commuted in. I don't often - and its all a bit new to me. Including how to cram enough food for the day into my Jersey pockets.

Which i didn't master - as on one particulaly bumpy piece of back-road today; i felt something 'weird' at my back and looked around to see my Banana bouncing down the road behind me.

I happened to jokingly tell the story to one of the guys at work. Who commented "Awesome.....a real-life game of Mario Kart" 😄😄😄

Morning folks.
What a lovely morning it is too. It was quite warm for yesterday's evening commute and today's looks even warmer.
Still half term so nice and clear roads mixed in with a little bit of SCR and it was a jolly old hoot of a commute.

I'm trying to figure out what river that is.

Medway, at a guess.

I just imagined tons of sweat underneath if wearing a backpack / rucksack…….(?)

Maybe. Depends on day temperature, ride distance, type and weight of bag, how much you naturally sweat etc.
I've got this one from Proviz which has a vented/mesh back to help reduce sweat build-up.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
garmin died after 4 miles coming home last night as i left in on the bike when i got to work and must have forgot to turn it off but i guess i should just be thankful no one stole it .
Knee is feeling a bit niggly but i think that is down to normal wear and tear rather than the injury flaring up as the pain is in a different place and i have been upping the miles the last few weeks .
