Yesterday was uncharacteristically large...
Out early after a for-once-not-terrible night of sleep, pushing the distance out a little further in the morning on a longer loop.
A surprise visit to a client in the city in the afternoon meant a hot, laboured trundle with the Fuji convincingly loaded up; it getting a compliment from a young, enthusiastic bloke who was parked adjacent to where I was locking it up. His vocal relief at his bike not having gotten robbed whilst unattended neatly transferring his anxiety to me as he rode off and I left mine tethered to some railings..
Having spent longer than expected away from the bike I was similarly relieved to find it still present upon my return, heading back to the office just in time to go home. Took the ring road to the north as I didn't fancy town again, for the usual stops at the rings and supermarket via a bit of trimming of the ever-rampant brambles before dragging myself home - stopping by the station to hammer some freshly-scored carrots and hummus on the way to stop myself falling over.
Nice weather to be out in but a thoroughly knackering 34ish miles for the day, which is a bit more than usual
