I took the "other" route home to take advantage of the wind direction...
About to climb out of the Ammer valley, where work is, to the Neckar valley, where home is. Würmlingen Chapel on the top of the hill. Picture taken from about here.
Riding along the edge of the Neckar Valley towards Rottenburg. Usually I ride along the flat flood plain in the background, but this route gave me a tailwind for the first two thirds of the journey.

Worn out. Been on an all day conference, so pootled back home. Think the heat got me. Just been down the local pub for two pints and some Malaysian food (the owners are from Malaysia and Hong Kong). Just what I needed. Don't think I'll be long from going to bed.
back to it this week, had taken a break for a week, weirdly it felt longer, sad to say driving standards havent improved.
today was the worst, nothing reportable as such, just mindless driving, lots of hornage, exchanges of hand signals that kind of thing.
also think Ive got a slow puncture on the front, as soon as I left home I noticed the front was spongy, and a pinch test proved it but kept going as either it was going to go flat, or it would last, and it lasted though lets say handling was affected quite alot. pumped it up at work, and it held on the way home, so maybe just a valve problem
but add the fairly strong head wind, and warm conditions, hasnt been much fun this week.

Two weeks of cycling commuting done, three days first week and four days second. 11 miles each way so 22 mile round trip. From the River Thames to the Ridgeway. Uphill on the way in then downhill on the way back. Lovely part of the day and although mostly on road, luckily small B roads. Gonna try five days next week then stick to that.
