the front one, for me, is more a "be seen" light rather than a "see where I'm going" light.

Which cameras with a front light are bright enough to see where you’re going?

Likely, I’ve only got enough space to fit one camera/light (on an out-front mount).

you can get extension bracket that take up one space but add space for 4 more

I was thinking of one instead of bar camera so it doesn;t get the vibrations

but I am unsure about the view and all that if I needed it

as I have said before I am against the idea of a helmet camera as I go under a lot of low bridges and branches
and I had a thing once where a branch grabbed hold through a helmet breathing hole and nearly pulled me off

My bar mounted camera (Cycliq) doesn't suffer from vibration. But I ride on the road. Things my be different for, eg, mountain bikers.

Helmet camera, just no. Don't attach anything to a helmet. If for no other reason than that the manufacturers tell you not to.

the cycliq 12 does, tested in the wilds of Suffolk, when it was pitch dark with no streetlights, Id foolishly gone out riding without my proper night lights as I hadnt planned to be out still by the time it got properly dark, but miscalculated time,distance & speed and ended up a bit stuck, till I remembered the light on the cycliq and I used that and it was good enough to enable me to navigate back home.

obviously its never going to be as good a dedicated light, but I could see where I was going, which I absolutely could not without it.

Also I've seen double sided out front mounts. GPS on top, light/camera/whatever underneath

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question, as I've never used the Cycliq front camera in complete darkness. The light I use (and only very occasionally) in order to light the road where there is no, or poor, street lighting is a Lezyne XL something or other. StZVO, very poweful, though dishonest battery life description.

But Katiewix, upthread, says it the Cycliq 12 do, but maybe no more than that?
