It is inconsiderate to pedestrians, especially when its a narrow pavement, and i'm pretty sure its illegal to put a car on a pavement as its not a designated highway.
This is the problem - it isn't illegal to park on a pavement, just to drive on it.
Even more bizarrely neither the Police or Council will a car being prked on teh pavement as proof thatthe vehicle was driven along or on to it in the first place.
It then gets even sillier....
Parking is decriminalised and is no longer a Police matter so needs to be dealt with by the Council - the Police can do nothing
The Council can only act if there is a specific prohibiiton such as a double yellow line so can do nothing
If it is an obstruction or "unsafe" such as on a corner then the Police jurisdiction again exceeds that ofteh Council so they have to act, but can't as perking is decriminalised.
Basically a big loop of people who can't be bothered.
We have a car boot sale here every week and you cannot move for illegally and antisocially parked vehicles, yet can do nothing.
The only positive action was to prevent planning permission for a Saturday boot sale due to the nuisance caused to the local community
