A query re above. I am currently with BT who are getting greedier by the day. The service from BT is good; much better than the useless AOL I used to have which kept losing connection and then involved a call to their Mumbai call centre and a lengthy process to fix it. I am under the impression that AOL merged with TalkTalk, so am I heading for trouble if I change?
Their prices are very competitive; about £18 per month for unlimited BB, and that includes line rental. I have a BT line, but the TalkTalk adviser tells me that they would take over the line from BT so that I pay TT line rental, and NOT BT..
This stuff is a minefield to me and very confusing! Being a natural cynic, I don't trust any of these big companies to do what they initially promise. I don't do a lot of downloading, but my current BT contract only gives me 10gb BB allowance per month. I have just had an e-mail from them telling me I have already used 6gb of my August allowance - and it's only the 9th day. Of course they want me to sign up to a more expensive contract for unlimited BB, which prompted me to look elsewhere.
