Tamworth to Geneva by train?

I need to travel by train from Tamworth to Geneva mid July 2018 with a touring bike and panniers. It'll be a one way trip as I'll be cycling back.

I'm asking for tips on how best to book this journey at minimum price please?

I flew last year and don't really wish to repeat the experience.
I'll digest the content of the man in seat 61 and decide if I need any more help.
One of my favoured rides passes through Lichfield and the Roman site at Wall.
