Anyone tried these?

I'm not sure how they'd fare for long distance stuff but could be a commuting tyre. I read somewhere (can't find it on their site) that they are guaranteed for 20,000 miles.

I haven't tried them but they had a stall at a cycling show earlier on in the year. I was with @Andrew_Culture (not seen him here for a while) but I can't remember whether he or his friend tried them out. I gather they'd recently hardened up the compound because people found them spongy.

Well, the idea of not standing at the roadside, frequently in the p***ing down rain, changing a tube kind of appeals to me.
I can't say that it bothers me that much, its not that I'm not out in the rain on my bike when it happens.
I can't see the point spending a bunch of money on lightweight components and light and fast wheels then sticking those things on, they may be suitable for BSOs though but every other 'solid' tyre has failed cos they're crap.

Perhaps not as a prolific a poster as once was, but he's still active and was around earlier in the week according to his POSTINGS page

PS: I'm not stalking you AC ;)

Oh so you can finally buy them in the UK hey? I did indeed see them at an 'Urban' cycling thingy in London, and I think urban bikes are probably the ideal type of bike to wear these boots. In fact I did ponder contacting the importer and offering them a sales outlet through some sort of drop ship deal.

Now that buying them is no longer an impossible to crack riddle I'm almost definitely going to buy a pair for my singlespeed (finances pending). As for my geared bike, well I think I'll stick with my GP 4001 ta.

Here's the blog post I wrote when I first saw this wheels

I am here, but have installed a safety check in my chair / keyboard interface.
