With M+ you're less likely to be held up by a puncture, but they can be real swines to get on and off, so if you do puncture you're in for a bit of a performance. In this respect they're a bit like tubeless.

New tyres seem more stubborn to mount. I fitted Marathons (Greenguard not M+ though) to one bike and needed to use tyre levers on one of them when new. A few months later I moved the tyres to a different wheelset as I wanted to check frame clearance on another bike, and the second time round I managed to hand fit them by just binding the tyre to the rim between two of the spokes with a length of sash cord to keep it in position. When I subsequently put them back to their original bike they also went on by hand, quite easily in fact. I find narrow cross section tyres more awkward to mount, regardless of the type. Wider ones are more supple and need less brute force.
