I think that is harsh. The vast majority of English fans are well behaved. Anyway, don't you remember the riots in Manchester a few years ago? Rangers fans if I remember correctly.

There are small minorities of idiots in every walk of life, we shouldn't tar any one nation with the idiocy of the few, IMO.

Yes, but Rangers fans hardly see themselves as 'Scottish'. I was driving up the M74 the day of that match as they were streaming down. Thoosans of Union Flags, hundreds of Red Hands of Ulster, three - count them, three - Saltires. Rangers are to Scotland as Quislings are to Norway.

GD&R

[edited to add] but I agree that it's only a tiny majority of the England fans who cause trouble - and remember, fifteen years ago Scotland fans also had a bad reputation for similar reasons.

I'm just glad the Scots fans are well behaved and welcome anywhere. English fans are an embarrassment everywhere they go.

The reason the Scots fans are so well behaved is because they don't want foreigners to mistake them for the English... hehehe

First hour at work this morning was spent in the match postmortem:sad:

Which would have been 59 minutes longer than the useless management team spent. Absolute rubbish. Totally soulless dull and devoid of any proper management nous.

It's been all downhill since Walter Smith et al buggered off back to Rangers. They had a similar group of fairly average players but with passion and huge desire to motivate the players....and got results well beyond their capabilities.

We are now back to the dull passionless days of Craig Brown and Bertie Vogts...Alex McLeish got away with it on the back of Smith et al and made the big money move before he was found out as dull as well.

Got back last night from Oslo, less said about the disaster on the pitch the better... but at least that has given me some more holidays to play with this year as I had some pre booked for the play off dates as well as I can stop saving for South Africa.

Most I paid for a pint was £5 and the cheapest £3.60. Admittedly the cheaper ones were in the slightly less salubrious pubs about the station, however they were clean and friendly and if you ignored the fact they had blue (UV??) lights in the loos to stop people finding thier veins to shoot up there was nothing wrong with them ;)

Not getting into the Rangers/Scotland/Manchester debate but will agree that I would think most of the brain dead idiots who were involved in the riots do not regard themselves as scotland supporters and to say they were part of the Tartan Army would be the same as calling them Celtic supporters.
