Popped into Meadowhall Shopping Centre today.

Spotted a concession stand selling Le Tour Yorkshire merchandise http://wtyshop.com/categories/subcat/294

Was shocked at the prices and the poor quality of the items.

£10 for a mug ! (no pun intended)

The T-shirts were cheap and nasty too.

The stuff at the Giro a few years back was great, lots of parents buying it for their kids.

There's going to be a lot of stuff left over after the event I think

The Tour is business and ASO are in it to make money, they know the value of their product.

I kind of like the tatty cheesiness of it all. Who can't smile at the caravan?

Furthermore: Meadowhall aint no place for the conscious bargain hunter and just about everything is at or above the RRP, Prices are high for the air-con , free parking, amenities etc etc courtesy of british land securities (owners) and their share price ;)

Pied wagtails and Herring Gulls usually.

I work there  The foxes and rats are fat due to gorging on KFC and McDs discarded by untidy shoppers. :hungry:

I'd have thought Sports Direct would have cashed in, but maybe they spent all their money on England World Cup stuff :banghead:
