An average 3 days of commuting (probably about 4 miles per day) a week since last September, through the grit and salt of the winter. Posting the link to it was the best thing SimonCC ever did IMHO!

I'm doing some or all of the 100-miler on Sunday:biggrin:.

Oh, good, I may see you then, I'm planning to come along for York/Selby and then head back. Or longer, if I feel fit.

Any tea about?

I'll never stop!

Now if someone could come up with a biscuit that is a Tunnocks Caramel bar/pink wafer/lemon puff/jaffa cake combination.

In a never ending packet...........

Now, you see, there's only really Jaffa Cakes in there that I like... I find the tunnocks things too hard and chewy - not that they are all that hard, but I never quite expect them to be as chewy as they are. I suppose I think of Kitkats.

I suppose my dream biscuit would be a Jaffa Cake/bourbon hyrid. Two Jaffa cakes stuck back-to-back, sandwiching a sort of chocolate paste.

In a never-ending packet.

Give me a massive hot steaming mug of comfortingly stupid tea whoever is serving and make it quick because I expect it quick.

I'll pass on the bikkies for now thanks, living in hotels (and the accompanying full cooked brekkies) does bad things to my waistline...;)

I found the novelty wore off after a while, but I still begrudged the hotel receiving £15 for me eating a bowl of weetabix.

You won't be wanting some of my toasted teacake then:tongue:

If I were in the field (as I bloody should be at this time of year, moan, whinge, grumble), I would be in the same boat.

I can only eat about two full Englishes a week. After that, I have to opt for just scrambled eggs, or only egg and bacon.

There was a period when I was based in the field in Herefordshire all summer. Mrs Uncle Phil and I rented a tiny bungalow in Hereford. I used to start work at dawn every morning. It was glorious driving down the Wye valley with the mist just clearing off the river and the sun rising...

Anyway, for a while, Mrs Uncle Phil had a temp job in Ross. If we were working at a site on her route, she used to call in at the site on her way to work with our camper van and cook us all bacon sandwiches.

Ah, them were the days...
