Dear me, it is the end times, I tell 'ee

Apparently they had one in Mexico City over the weekend, they must wonder what they've done wrong.

While we wait for the plague of frogs, Tea? anyone?

Quiet in here today...

Out in the rain yesterday, I was reminded that my shoes have holes in the soles (HiTec ain't what they used to be - only got them last September. Mind you, I wear them every day..) Thinking about it this morning, I wondered if puncture repair patches would make a suitable temporary repair until I can get out to the Designer Outlet at the weekend to get some more (cheaper than anywhere in town last time). Looked out some patches, and decided they were too small - the hole is part of a crack right across the sole. However, realised I did have some of the most suitable repair material after all.

I now have gaffer tape stuck to the soles of my shoes (plus some inside as well). If only it wasn't the silver sort, it would hardly show...

I like this Credit Crunch chic look.

In a fit of extravagance, I bought some bacon today, so it's carbonara for supper....;)

Over at my friend's house last night, for craft club, we went to look at her new lambs. For some reason, they all wanted to nibble the legs of my jeans! Very cute though. Mind you, one of her rams has been found wanting in the fertility department - he'll be tested by a vet, and if no good, it's mutton time for him.

Comment on our local paper's website, made me laugh:
We all felt a massive shudder in Flookburgh. I was told an asteroid hit Morcambe Bay so I was quite dissapointed when I went down the beach only to find a piece of seaweed and a dead seagull.

A lovely sunny morning here as well.

I have some letters (oh er e-mails) to send and some forms to fill in. At some point I "need" to sit outside and relax.

I was at Pilates last night, and Tai Chi tonight, or Tea Chi as Arch likes to call it.

I've always fancied Tai Chi but I have my heart set on a Yin Yang form which I can never seem to find

The tutor explains some of the Yin Yang theory or philosophy (?) and the Chi/Gong (sp) as we go along. I enjoy it, but it is very difficult to remember the individual moves without following some one else as a prompt. Fortunately the tutor understands this, and he says that as adults we often lose the ability to learn choreographed moves.

I do feel more flexible and stronger as a result and my balance is improving.
