Sorry you're still under the weather Speicher. Here's a large steaming mug of tea and whatever confectionery will perk you up.

Amazing what a couple of hours of martial arts followed by another hour of mudguard fitting (on the GF's new steed) does! I have found myself in similar sticky situations before, but not in such copious quantities...

Brought the fixie down this week!;)

Afternoon all! Sorry to hear about your respitory tract Speicher. I reccomend tea and cake, and if you have a sore throat at all, Baileys flavour Haagen Daz icecream.

I've discovered my friend has the most tolerant cat in the world. Her baby son didn't want to go to sleep last night, so sat on her hubby's knee gurgling at us while we knitted. The cat (Fred, the other one being Ginger) wanted to also sit on the same lap, and did so despite the baby alternately dribbling on it, pulling it by the ears and tail, and bashing it on the head with a coaster (accidentally, he was just waving it about). I reckon most cats would have legged it after a few seconds - Fred stayed put for about half an hour!

Oh well, why not?

Here! Was I right with either of my guesses at the word you wanted?

I'm waiting to see if I've scooped the chocolate suggestive.

One bumper-sized pot o'tea for your delectation!

Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what the weather's going to do this evening? I'm torn between riding out to West London for a pub quiz with some friends, or staying round Islington and going to see some bike polo...

You were spot on with procrastination. (I knew it was something that reminded me of dinosaurs).

Erm... I just ate the last chocolate suggestive. Sorry.

Bah!

(Lucky I had one last night at my friend's house then)

Landslide, I can confidently predict that at some stage this evening the sun will be obliterated by the horizon, if that helps....

Do you ever watch the BBC's local evening news? Their miniature weather man always says "...and the sun will rise tomorrow morning at 5.47..."

The confidence with which he emphasises "will" always reassures me.

Although I suppose, if it were to fail to rise, the innaccuracy of his forecast would be forgotten in the probably ensuing chaos.

I hadn't noticed that, I'll have to look out for it (although I usually have the radio at that time, for the comedy).
