Ah, TheDoc himself!

I was just wondering if there was anyone about for a lunchtime cuppa.
Are you feeling OK? I'm not sure I've ever had the word "elegant" applied to my legwear...

I didn't want to be rude!!! ;)
No seriously, they did look pretty good.
More so than the black Aldi baggies I had on, anyhow.
Oh - is that the time? I must be off. Have a good weekend, all!

Monring NT! Did the new sword pass muster?
No. The Sheriff broke it again! I think he is taking the fight scenes too seriously!
I have made another much stronger one but I don't want it too strong as I'd rather his sword broke then Robin's. Mainly because Robin's sword is much more difficult to make and also because Robin is a good guy and it would look worse if Robin's sword broke and he still wins the fight.

Oh well, two more shows and it won't matter after that.

The Sheriff also broke Little John's staff during rehersals when he was standing in. The staff was a 2" diameter Sycamore branch with the bark stripped off.;)

Er it was quite a nice beer garden, the pubs been fettled and they now do really nice beer and food. Its also on Laurence Street not Hull Road.

I was thinking of the wrong pub. Which is the one on the corner of James street that has tables outside at the front? And I know it was Lawrence street, I just thought Hull Road gave a better impression of the general busyness of the road - call it artistic licence.

The Waggon is certainly much improved from when we lived virtually next door to it, and still never used it.

NT, your sheriff sounds like once of those people who'll break anything, possibly due to having no subtlety at all...

That's it! Last show finished and to the news that we have four nominations from the Manchester Music Awards.

It was great and so much fun I could do another week of performances. It is definately an addiction that I am happy to have.

Tea! Can't beat a cuppa tea, just started to use rainwater as the water round here is so hard and scummy. Makes all the difference, you should try it.

Where is everyone? Hopefully enjoying the sunshine. It's lovely up here. I've got a 5 hour train journey tomorrow and am praying there's air conditioning otherwise it's not going to be pleasantxx(.

Take a fan with you? one of those hand held old-fashioned things like Japanese ladies have. Or make one from a concertinaed up piece of flimsy A4 cardboard.

Where are you going that takes five hours?

And yes, I have been enjoying the sunshine, only just come in from the garden, as neighbours have started a barbecue. Fortunately they do not often do it.
