Tea?'s up!

Rolling thunder here in Sheffield.:o)

We just had a torrential hailstorm with thunder and lightning, but the sun's out again now.

I reckon we're paying for the good weather we had on Saturday. ;) I now have that Neopolitan look on my arms - brownish hands, white shoulders and pink inbetween.

I trust you got back home ok, and your sprinting companion didn't fall asleep in her dinner? To think, I'd planned short cuts in case she struggled with the distance...

We got home fine thanks, and it was me who passed out at the end of dinner (though someone may have had a snooze in the car on the way back!).

Thanks again for organising it!

No worries, I'm glad people enjoyed it. Pretty good going I reckon, to not start until after 10, fit in 3 refreshment stops, and do 52 miles and be back before the shops shut.

And thanks to you fast types, and despite leading from the back for most of the way;), my average speed was the highest of the 3 long rides I've done since I got my computer back on the bike, 12.72mph.

I can still remember the conversation we had, a long time ago, about door furniture! :hyper:

The hour is late, I should be in beddy byes by now. :wahhey: Good night :hyper:

I have glorious ears and whether too - as in wondering whether I should go to work...I suppose so.
Renard and his large knobs is not something I can handle very easily at this time of day.
That's Speicher's department: Hardware. The Miss Brahms of 'tea'. :girl:

Morning All!

A somewhat delayed first cuppa this morning, as in what I suspect was an incident nowhere near as dramatic as it might sound, my train was delayed by a derailed freight train!

oh lord, well, it makes a change from the wrong sort of rails or whatever...

Someone I know slightly from the department was apparently ON a train that derailed once. She said they were going slowly, and then there was a bit of a bump, like they'd stopped quickly, and then it was announced that they'd derailed - the passengers hadn't really noticed...

I need some muffin advice. I bought this on Sunday, from the continental market:

I've kept it in its paper bag in the fridge, intending to eat it tomorrow - it won't have gone stale by then will it? I'm guessing the good coating of chocolate will keep the air out...
