Morning all!
Back to the routine of up early, feed cats, feed hens, clean out hen house off overnight inedible offerings... check for edible offerings.. Cathode had already laid when I went to say good morning & take hen breakfasts out there.
I've got some beetroot I've grown from seed picked and now cooking on the hob and I've got a loaf of bread in the process of being made.
Glorious day out there in parts rural.
The new Laydeez, Campag & Nolo are no longer traumatised - they are settling in really well. They now happily come to me to take treats of mealworms and sweetcorn niblets from my fingers. They'll let me pick them up and carry them about. Plus, this morning (possibly too much information here..) their inedible offerings were the most normal yet produced. You can tell a lot about a hen by the state of the inedible offerings she produces you know, and to see the improvement from when they first arrived is confirmation that they are improving in health. Hurrah! Now that's not something you're going to see on every cycling forum, is it, a comment on hen health via inspection of hen poo
