Next time you see me heading for the chocolate biscuits can someone stop me. Every time I eat chocolate at lunchtime I get incredibly sleepy an hour later. Today the culprit was a Twix...

It is indeed, feel like I have been wacked with a sledgehammer at the moment but I will be ok. Maybe a bit sore cycling home though ;)
Never mind eh?

Should have the new kitchen floor laid by the time I get home that will cheer me up.. And the dust finally seems to be getting less of a problem..smallest of things eh?

Chocolate Digestive anyone...?

Is the Tea helping? It sounds like you'll be pretty sore tomorrow.

Are they Dark or Milk Choc suggestives, I much prefer the Dark ones, sorry to be so fussy.

In another thread, IIRC you say your wife is not excellent at cooking - so do you do the cooking?

Slightly OT, Waffleycat, can I put the red waxy stuff from the outside of Edam cheese in my compost bin?

You are in luck, we are an office full of *men* so it's dark chocolate all the way. xx(

Not excellent at cooking is an understatment. She has only just learned (after being together for 13 years) how to cook garden peas. But not for the want of trying bless her.

So I do most of the cooking in the household and really enjoy it. I did have aspirations when younger of being a chef.

Are there boys as well, or women who like the same as men do, or is the men who buy the biskits? xx(

Cooking garden peas? not fresh one I hope, I llike to eat them raw, they never make it to the saucepan.

I would like to find what to do with lots and lots of plums, purpley damsons I think. The drawback is that they are a PITA to take the stones out. I could freeze some whole, make plum and almond upside down pudding.

I shall be going out shortly for the procurement of fresh veg and fruit - strawberries and melon perhaps. It is much quieter in town at this time of day, but my favourite greengrocers is still open. He also sells the aforementionned dark choc suggestives. Believe or not, quite a few shops round here shut at 4pm, except it is Thursday, so some shut at 1pm, or don't open at all.

No women crosses our working threshold. Just a load of blokes. No boy's either.. just *Men*. We are all old git's who have been working together for about the last 15 years.

We have had women work for us in the past. One was crap and we had to get rid (office junior type person, youth of today tsk tsk), the other one (Promotions person left to work for someone else).

Had an off this morning so feeling battered and bruised..
I'm a bit battered and bruised too, but that's because I've just been to the doctors to be snipped.

Am now at home for the day eating everything I can get my hands on and not getting on with a job application form.

Hope you feel better tomorrow, offs always throw me out of kilter for a few days, especially if I end up banging my shoulder.

Wassup?

Speicher, I'm not sure about composting Edam wax, could you make candles out of it? And can you get a gadget to destone plums, like you can with cherries? I can see that lots of little ones (like my colleague was picking on Tuesday, by standing on the roof of our electric van) would be a right pain.
