That's a conga line.

This is a conga drum, or urban alarm call.

Well, you learn somethig new every day.... Cheers!

I should go home. I really should be having a clear out of the flat. My excuse is that it's good exercise walking up to campus.

I'm in the middle of a big clear out too, I've gained about four square feet of floor this week.

Then I must go home and do the same. Or not. maybe I'll play Sim city all afternoon....

Have to get some shopping as I pass Morrisons, so I might succumb to a cheap sushi temptation.

I had a T*sco 'yellow label' sushi lunch on Thursday!

I've got to go thru a whole crate of old music cassettes and decide what I should keep.
Why do I have so much junk?

It's not junk, it's a carefully accumulated collection of old possessions.

I've got the same. I've been mentally sorting it for months (have I read that book in three years? no. Ditch it), now I just have to do the actual getting rid. And there's reams of PhD notes that can be dumped/recycled.

Esp as I hope to have another bike in the flat in the next week or so...

Those conga (drums) don't look very portable.

He only had the one drum which is sort of portable if not rather bulky to carry.

Although annoyed at having been woken in this manner I had to reflect and remind myself that this was a nicer awakening than some previous local disturbances such as domestic disputes, dog fighting, fireworks and gun shots(live rounds).

Landers, are you still working in That London a couple of days a week?
It's been a while, and I've got a few bikes left...

Aye, I am. Another trip to the palace of noodly delights? We should get Radius out too before he disappears to university...

So the house is at the 'sit and twiddle your thumbs' stage?
I have fingers crossed for you.

Another friend of mine and his GF have just spent/got a mortgage for *gulp* £845,000!

It's a huge house and very lovely, lots of work to do yet. Can't tell if I'm seriously jealous or relieved I don't have the pressure of such a huge investment.
