I have been looking on the internet for accommodation in Windermere. Glass of white wine to hand. Much searching reveals a hotel with spacious bedrooms, bar and lounge etc and two restaurants. One for normal sort of food, or so I thought and one for more culinary feasts, and not costing huge amounts per night, giving the opportunity to eat in or out as it were. However, on re-reading the blurb, it says that the award-winning Chef creates imaginary cuisine.

Perhaps I could pay the imaginary bill. ;)

Yay! Congratulations again Col.
Glad the check has come through OK. I'm still on tenterhooks about my interview I had, but fingers crossed.

No tea for me, thanks, I'm off to bed.

Have I missed any Weddings ? Births ? Deaths ? Clandestine meetings that nobody knows about but are all talking about ? Oh and tea please.

Hey Elmer, well iv ditched the driving job,and managed to get back into the nhs,as an auxiliary nurse, which i did about 12 or 13 years ago,so im a really happy guy at the moment. It was the loss of my wifes mother over christmas, which ,made me make a concerted effort to change.so mixed emotions, but a possitive outcome.
I havnt been so busy on here lately,so i have probably missed a lot,but im sure someone will be able to fill you in sometime.

2 and a half weeks. I did have a call from one of the guys with a couple of extra questions, and he said I should hear something good early this coming week, but 'he didn't say that'. So I'm not counting my owls till my lunar modules have landed, or something like that.

Still, off to grab a brew and try to get the BB out. It's been soaking in WD40 overnight. That'll make the living room smell nice!

*hands out tea all round*

@ Waffles

I've just done an eBay search for a Mountie uniform, but the closest I could find was a bird in uniform (completely SFW). Any use to you?

By the way, I have a comment on your incessant flirting.
I find it humiliating and degrading.
It makes me feel cheap, dirty and used.
Please do it more!

The bird is not exactly Paul Gross, but hey, any port in a storm!

Is this "sad" news? I have been closely watching the Amazon site for oohh perhaps a long time now. Some times the Boxed sets of Due South are on half price, instead of the "Usual" £40.00.
So far I have bought series one and two, and now series three has come up at a more reasonable price. What does that say about me, if I admit to owning all three "Due South" series?:blush::biggrin:;)

I think I better have a cup of tea and some cogitations.

Congrats Col, on your new Job.

I was going to apply for the job in the Library, but remembered from my last interview at a Library, I was told that part-time (temporary) staff only work on the desk where you check books in and out. I cannot see me doing just that for 16 hours a week, standing up the whole time. I am looking for something interesting.

I dreamt last night that I was taken on as a person helping to look after the camels on a film shoot in southern Spain.
