The house is a strange shape, in that the front door is downstairs, and the back garden is upstairs. So there are stairs inside and outside.
The main bedroom, a bathroom and two other rooms, are downstairs, the lounge and kitchen, dining room etc are upstairs. I like living in an "upside down" house.

Apparently, if I'm very good, I might be getting a 24hr mechanism wrist watch for my birthday, a nice heavy Russian job, I already have a Vostok self winder.
I set my heart on a 24hr dial years ago but I couldn't find one when I was in St. Petersburg.
