Morning everyone. Is there any Choc Cake left Wafflycat?

Welcome back to The Doctor. I am surprised it took you three days to drive back from the Alps, you weren't in the Australian Alps were you?

Hi Speicher *gentle hug*

Not the Austrian alps, the French ones. We were in Valmeiner - that's quite a way south near the Col du Galibier and Alpe D'Huez. We drove from there to Les Gets, which is near Geneva. My mates from Ireland were there, and it's been a month since we've seen the sprog. To be fair, most of that day was spent digging the car out of a yard or so of snow, then sitting in a huge queue of cars to get down the mountain.
The following day I dug the car out again and we drove to Auxerre - northern Burgundy, near Chablis. And yesterday we drove back here.

Had enough of driving for a bit...

TheDoctor, your skim reading skills are in need of more practice. I mentionned the Australian alps, the ones in Australia.

*charges in, scenting leftover tartiflette*

Where is it? In the fridge? Mmmmmm...

<gets out leftovers, pan to heat up in, and fork>

We have a continental market in York several times a year and there's always a guy making tartiflette in a huge big pan on one stall... Mmmmmmmm:tongue:

That and the slightly dubious salami sellers, (I mean the salami looks dubious, not the sellers, always makes me think of Blackadder.)

Hello Clarion and Butterfly, and welcome to the tea room! Butterfly, am I right in thinking that the last time we met, you had your hand in a bandage after an unfortunate knife slippage? All better I hope, as that was about two years ago!

Welcome back doc, you've been sorely missed. Only the other day, I came in and found tdr1nka crying himself to sleep...

There's a lass in my local CTC called Tina. I once rode tandem with her.
Oo-er!
I meant actually pedaled a tandem with her, at a Company of Cyclists tryout roadshow in St Ephanage. Pretty sure Arch must have been there, though I don't recall seeing her.
Anyway, I seem to have missed a worrying development in Waffleys avatar. Catherine Tate, eh? That's a bit scary. *shudders*

Catherine Tate, scary indeed.

Mind you, I'm VERY excited. Saw a 'coming soon' trailer for the new series of Doctor Who last night...;)

London traffic and the way people drive it never ceases to amaze me.

I live on a residential street of Victorian houses and I have just seen a car transporter truck go past my window, heard it's reverse warning beeping away at the end of the road where it has turned round and come back the other way. It has now gone past and is beeping again!!
Should I go and assist or just put the kettle on?

Lovely mornin down here BTW, hows it for everyone else?

*Hands out tea!*
