the place itself was on a working farm in leicestershire, not far from the famous bosworth field (which we visited, and apparently the café there is popular with cyclists). the "tent" is basically a wooden frame with a canvas (or similar) outer, and contains a wood burning stove, bedrooms (with proper beds), kitchen facilities (cold water only), a dining table and chairs and a flush toilet. the kids had great fun looking after a small flock of chickens as well as finding other kids to hang out with.
i'd recommend the
national space centre in leicester, arch, if only for the soyuz space capsule (which you can see before you pay to go in), and the ride to europa simulator.
nice to be back though, at least it doesn't take half an hour so stoke the stove to get a brew
