chin up arch, we know who you are. i must admit to having a giggle at the pics when i saw them about 8 years ago. but then i'll giggle at jokes about men too, i just like a good joke (not saying these were, of course).

would you like one of our nippers' elephant biscuits with your tea?

Seen them before and they did make me laugh. Thing is, it depends who is showing them to you. With some people the only response is a stony faced silence.

Anyway, I'm about to start cooking tea. Baggy has a gippy tummy so I'm having a load of sausages and my own bodyweight in red cabbage. Anyone face a nibble?

Oooh, happy hens! Do they stay strictly inside the henclosure or do you let them out during the day?

The laydeez will be strictly in the enclosure. It's why I'm not getting huge numbers. Where I am we have mink & foxes - hence the wiring on the floor of the enclosure, wiring sides and solid roof. Plus, in early days with ex-batts, it's not adviseable for them to have loads of space. But I am looking at plans to extend the run area once they've settled.

Hey Waffly, thought of you on my ride earlier this evening. Doing some back lane exploring I happened upon a house who had a hen house and a run. It was pretty niftly looking. Was going to take a photo but thought it would look a tad suspicious..........

I had chicken for tea tonight. Mind you, it was free-range!

I had garlic mashed with olive oil and salt tomatos and spinich and houmus on a slice of pitta bread.
Ahh the taste of poverty.

I think they are based near Bantry. If you look at Projects, they have an Earthship Enterprise. I quite like the idea of staying in a Mongolian Cloud Home.
