Havnt been reading all the posts here lately, what have i missed S? Hope your well?;)

This is an on-going saga, but I will give you a shortened version. Last October I fell over backwards on the Badminton court, with no ill-effects. However, two weeks later fell and twisted and suffered extreme back pain. Apparently the second fall seriously aggravated the injury from the first fall.

It started to get better gradually, but then in December got much worse again. Tried a chiropractor, no help. Started Physiotherapy in March. The pain killers were far too strong, and not at all suitable for me. The side effects after stopping taking the painkillers has been horrendous.
Ironically, the back pain is improving, and I no longer take anything other than the odd mild over-the-counter type. I am hoping to get back to gently swimming again soon, then some walking, etc, etc, gently, gently.

Thank you for your sympathy

Badminton is not generally a dangerous sport, but when things get competitive and you overbalance :wacko: You should have heard the raquet I made as I landed.:blush::ohmy:

The other injury was in trying to get out of the way of a very frightened very very large horse. Two tons attached to flailing hooves is not a pretty sight! I tried to find an escape route, but found it bolted.

my word this is hard to eat.
Sweating profusely is good for you.
Cotswolds eh? That's where I did most of my cycling when I started again (about 5 years ago). Broadway is nice, also Stow in the Wold. ;)

Tdr1nka - Call me a silly old plum, but is Ms Tdr1nka your ladyfriend or your daughter? I realise that this a terribly embarrassing thing to get confused about and I should know by now...
