Evenings!
My train took the most random route back. Normally they hammer along the South Wales coast, under the Severn, then roughly tag along with the M4. Today it took a sharp jag North through Chepstow and Gloucester. I could have waved to Speicher if I knew where she lived...

Yo Tdr1nka! A most pleasant weekend was had. We supported a few local places of commerce and suppliers of comestibles, I helped ensure the future of the local fishing fleet and I also supported the growers of carrots. And the bakers of cake!
Much tea was drunk also. The tea wasn't the only thing that was drunk...

Hurrah then:biggrin:!

Speicher has been playing with my mind today, which was good as it hasn't had a lot of exercise of late.

Ireland is still very lovely, we have had visitors the last few days so Miss tdr1nka has been off playing with her friend and I've got some more work done on the Shedravan.

And I've drunk LOADS of tea!!

Hello all! Well, I've got my laptop back, got soaked in a shower between the laptop chappie's place, and here... Office is installed, so this afternoon (after lunch, most importantly) I can reload all my backed up data and crap, and then there's no excuse not to be getting on with the PhD...

Oh, crap..

I'll need some tea first. I was a bit slow getting going this morning, I had a weekend of frantic knitting, but Oli's jacket WILL be ready....

And he is apparently now walking unaided - a few steps, not just falling with style, so to speak...

Tea...it's a slow start here too!

I may be in need of much tea this afternoon. I have got an application form to fill in on-line. I have made a start, and it appears much easier than doing it on paper. You can alter things, without getting in a mess with Tippex. Then save the pages and send it when you are ready, and not worry about it getting lost in the post.

I did wonder how they tell if you have neat handwriting, but I suppose that not many jobs call for neat handwriting. Now I have the "why do you think you are suitable for this job" bit to do. ;) Cannot put "Well, I just am, geddit?"

I know, I hate that sort of stuff. Especially when you know that anyone with half a brain, or any job seeking experience, will know all the buzz words and stuff, to put, whether they have the qualities or not, so you feel you have to do it, and you end up writing in a very stilted and rather false way and the bar is raised artificially...

Would anyone ever really put "I dont fink I am, innit. but I need a job or me mamm'll kill me...."

The trick, I guess is to get to the interview stage, and then wow them with how nice you are....

here you are...

*hands over cup held at arms length*

Tea for everyone else?

I'm waiting for a friend to get back from a meeting to help me set up the internet connection on the laptop, annoyingly, I need it to register the Office package I reinstalled... And all the stuff about proxy settings, is double dutch to me. Well, no, I could muddle through, but I worry about getting it wrong...

So I have an excuse to hang out here for a hour or so...
