That is the teapot of the lord, surely?

I have some sad news for the world of tea. Apparently the Bramah Tea and Coffee Museum in Southwark has closed down after Edward Bramah passed away earlier this year .

He had many fine teapots and was completely eccentric. I wonder what happened to the collection...

Did someone mention tea? Yes, I'd love a cup. Woke up this morning to the water softener having flooded the downstairs loo floor. Que sera.

You have your bog water softened? How posh is that!

So 'Neptune's Kiss' is even more softer when you're getting rid of ballast?

Mr Phoebus, I believe I may once have lived just down the road from you,(admittedly a very very long road) just off Fletchamstead Highway in Coventry?

It's not that far away as I do a lot of riding around Meriden and Balsall Common.

It used to be at Butler's Wharf, and it moved to Southwark Street a few years ago. It was quite interesting, but if Mr.Bramah himself gave you a tour you'd be in there a long time .

He was a true tea and coffee purist. A colleague of mine once suggested he tried to make the museum more commercially viable by having a Cadbury's Drinking Chocolate corner. He went mad at her .

Yes, it was, I remember that one, because there is a pudding I like called Betty, (caramel apple Betty). I did wonder why there were so many teapots on there.:rolleyes::sad:

Ah, phew, I've just had a quick look at the ebay Brown Bettys and they are all new so it's not any of them. It was labelled as "an unusually large" teapot and was ginormous - it held about 40 cups.
