Just seen the advert for the toilet duck blobs that stick to the toilet bowl. The ad claims that it avoids the bacteria ridden cage of previous toilet blocks.
Begs the question, if the blob can't even kill the germs on the cage how can it kill the germs in the toilet?

Ah, the age old marketing device of inventing a problem which you can then solve with an even more costly product...

I think it was when I saw Kandoo special children's toilet paper advertised that I really lost hope for the future....

Evening all. Kettle's on. The evening meal at Chez Wafflycat is almost ready. I've made a beef casserole with some very lean beef, loads of root veggies, leeks and a bottle of beer. Will be having green beans, peas and creamy mash with it. YUM.

I always felt that if a product was improved then it should cost less as they have previously sold me an inferior product.

... and by the same (sort of) line of thinking shouldn't "low fat" or "fat reduced" products cost less .... if there's less fat in them?

... and for washing powder ... how white can white get? It's been getting clothes whiter for over 50 years to my certain knowledge.

A very late start in here today. I am going to do today, something that I have avoided, mostly successfully, for about four years. In that four years I have only visited a large supermarket twice.

Strong cups of tea will be in order later. Accompanied, of course, with pecan plaits, banoffiee pies, pecan tarts, pineapple, and pecan plaits, and the odd jar of co**ee, etc.

Also visiting Tasha (tbc) again, and another application form, and enrolling on a Tai Chi course. A busy day, must get on :smile:.

oh, one of those Liptons Iced sort? Never had one - I'm a bit of a stick in the mud about tea, it has to be hot and in a mug...

;) Did not get to Tecso's.;) Once I had seen Tasha (tbc) again and decided yes, she was THE one, they wanted me to bring her home today.

I therefore humbly apologopolise for the lack of cakey refreshments. Still some a small piece of currant loaf left.

She and I are having the occasion game of hide and seek. But she is now ensconced in the dining room with litter tray, cat bed, cardboard box with old fleece in it, plus biskits and water. She can see out into the garden. Leo is absent, chose today to go on one of his long walkabouts in the giant field. Could be a tense afternoon when he returns.

When she has settled in, I will be taking a photo of her.

A good name for kitteh would be Servalan.
She had jet black hair and was a tough cookie who could easily look after her self. And she was cat like, too.
