Morning!
*Snags a biskit*
Woke to a grey and wet morning here in Londinium ;), but thankfully it had ceased precipitating by the time I left for the office. Only weather-related worries now is that the snow will clear enough for a weekend in The Lakes.

Peace and quiet temporarily reigns in this house. Leo and Tasha have discovered a game of tig. One sits in their favourite place, which also happens to be one of the favourite places of the other. When the other one notices this, they chase each other upstairs or downstairs at great speed. I think it is a game, because I am sure that Leo could easily catch Tasha if he wanted to. Or has she got greater acceleration and manouverability?

Aha, one of my party pieces in times gone by (I've forgotten a lot now). Did it put the Felis domesticus among the Columbidae?

But it's a sensible thing to do. You don't want to get your elks mixed up...

Waffles, I saw your remark about knitting and elderlyness. I'm not sure I'm too bothered - I do all my knitting in bed, which is the only way to stay warm in the evening just now, which is a fairly elderly sounding thing to do.

I don't have slippers though. We always just wore our shoes in the house, so as not to wear our socks out, which probably says something about the relative value of our socks and our carpets. I can never quite get the hang of taking shoes off as soon as you get into a house. If I need to take them off, and my feet are cold, I wear a pair of walking boot socks over my normal ones....

I now have a bag of mince and some chops from the sheep I was tending at the weekend. Yum....

Eeeeevninnn all.

Just back from another day of chauffeur duties - a mere 190 miles today.

*yawn*

MrWC has made me a large mug of tea which I am duly savouring. Then I have to think about what to cook for our evening meal. Something quick & simple - pasta most likely..
