I've found ebay to be quite good. Mind you I've been *careful* I only buy something if I can go and collect the item and pay cash on collection. I would suggest a mention on the various fora may find you what you are after - ferinstanz... there's a board on this forum for such items.

I called into my local Woolies this afternoon. Absolutely naff all by way of bargains. And Nada, that I could see with the 50% off as advertised by the posters on the doors. The odd 10% off, 20% off - but nothing remarkable, and with the CDs, DVDs and the like, even with the supposed mark-down, you can get them cheaper online. I was not impressed. I diodn't even buy any pick'n'mix!

Woolies kit was always tatty but got the odd DVD bargain from time to time. They never really evolved to combat their opposition and I guess were a victim of this in the end.

Tea anyone?

Yes, its a nasty lingering, tiring flu this winter. 40 winks easily turns into half an hour. Mind you, all the women around here have actually been laid out with it, while the blokes just go around coughing and wheezing.

I am shattered! Nothing new there then!
I have been at an exhibition of student work tonight chatting to visitors and potential clients. As an ex student at college I also presented some of my own work and it took centre stage. I had loads of professional press photos taken of me with my furniture and it seemed that my work featured in photos of other artists there giving me even more publicity.
I am just about losing my voice now and my throat feels like broken glass.

I never did get that bacon. As I left, a friend rang up to see if I wanted to go to the theatre, so I did that instead - two of the Canterbury Tales, in the original Middle English...

And a pint afterwards to warm us up - the play was in an old church....
