One of the local shops has

a knitted Christmas Tree in the window. It is made of squares of different shades of green wool that sort of overlap. I think it has been attached to a sort of conical shape plant support type of contraption. Decorations have been knitted in the shape of crackers, lanterns, stockings, small presents etc. I will try and get a photo.

I saw one once, it was made as a tea cosy, knitted by my boyfriend's mother. It had all these triangular bits that stuck out as branches, and each had a little bobble on the end. She reckoned if she'd knitted it in pink, it would have looked like pig's nipples...

That looks like it is made out of a large collection of odd socks, odd gloves, old hats etc. Walking boot socks are sometimes green (in colour).

Afternoon! Back from a remarkably stress-free shopping trip. The parentals' presents have been sorted, which makes a real change as it's normally a case of "What do you get for the people who've got everything?"

OKay, so I didn't get out of bed until 3pm Today. 2 Sundays on the trot with large hangovers (although Today's one is more of a still p*ssed thing than an actual hangover). Just had my first cuppa of the day and the kettle is still warm. Help yourselves...

I thought you had mentionned a flatmate, was he or she? very quiet this morning? Surprised you waited an hour before making a hot drink, or would you not have been able to stand the noise the kettle makes?

Well, yes, if you are young enough to stay out until 3am

Most parties, clubs do not get going until 11pm do they?
Are you back at (dirty four letter word beginning with W) tomorrow?

I was watching the late film til 12.30am then two pussy cats decided it was time to play.

Well I was probably one of the older ones in the bar we ended up in. Turned out to be quite a long night, as we met at 6 for drinks and dinner and one thing led to another... you know how it is

Rarely do I stay out to such hours these days but every once in a while its good fun.

Yes back to work tomorrow and dropped in it yet again by my Boss' Boss. Who happens to be on a half day (he was off on Friday all day too). He keeps e-mailing everyone under his charge and all the customers senior managers telling them he is out and to speak to me in his absence. Nice of him to think I candle the responsibility but I don't really get paid for this

I'm sorry, I was trying to be funny, not critical.:blush::biggrin:

I don't usually point out ppl's typing errors for that reason, but I thought that was an amusing mistake to make. I can see that you are still groggy, more Tea? or hair of the dog?
