Oooh I can always manage a cuppa Arch

I decided to shake of last nights mulled wines by a ride out to tower bridge then across it and back to the west, via the city. It did the trick but am now falling asleep due to a restless night  I think I need caffeine!

Do you work shifts or unsocial hours that cause your restless nights?

Is Tower Bridge the one you can walk into and climb the stairs and walk across the top Bridge bit?

Yes, and they have an exhibition with the biggest spanners you ever saw!

Right, I really should be off. I bet I don't do my wrapping until tomorrow though. I need some proper tea, ran out of milk this morning, and the market centre only had little UHT pots...

Merry Christmas again, all....

I've just been cutting firewood, nearly broke my big crosscut saw when a log jammed the blade. Something has bent on it as it doesn't slide smoothly anymore, I will strip and service it over Christmas. Afterwards I tidied up my workshop and moved the KMX up in front of the tv so I can put it on the trainer for a bit of reclined excercise.

I have put a profile on a dating site and sent off a message to someone so now time for a quick cuppa and then off to get some shopping.

I'll be doing that next week, father and son bonding with a chainsaw and big axe.

And several brews.

I've managed to give myself tennis elbow just by chopping firewood this year.

The only cure is rest, so Baggy is on kindling chopping duties from now on. It's so frustrating having to let my wife handle my chopper, but she does a good job and the end results bring a nice rosy glow to my cheeks.

Best not to tell her that you have got epicondylitis as well then.

Used to work nights but do more typical hours now. Can be up anywhere from 5 - 6 on weekday mornings, so I guess some might say shifts

RE: Tower Bridge, I wouldn't really know as Today was the first time I have been across it! (really should see more of London's sights as I've been here 8 years now) I think Arch covered this off though, big spanners and a way across...?

Anyone for a cuppa? I have no milk, so it wil need to be Hot Choc or milk-less tea

I've got milk!

Yes, Tower Bridge is the one you can go up inside and walk across the top span, as well as watching it open to let river traffic thru.
On 'special' days they open the rooms beneath the bridge where the huge counter balance weights for raising and lowering the road are housed!

I presum it has a webs-site to find out about opening  times. I shall look up their Speiche Special Days.

BTW Sittingduck, how do you make your Hot choc, I make mine with at least semi-skilled or fully fat milk.
