Oh dear, says Anda, (Speicher's colleague) sounds like Tex has got locked into the basement.

This basement hatch is very heavy and the hinges need oiling (says Anda)

Well, the man from the council came back and said he needed to go down into the basement again to service the boiler. I remembered where the secret staircase was and let him in while you were upstairs. But then Tex escaped from your car, and went down into the basement, and I followed him, but before we could get out the boiler man switched off the lights, and shut the hatch. We've been here for hours

Anda: "But I thought you were at home today, baking scones for the tea Party at Lord Teapots."

Speicher: "No, I went in there last night, and no one came in and I hid behind the door, but gave up at 11.30 and went home to bed." So today I was doing some painting and tidying the garage. Perhaps I will make the scones tomorrow. Yes, Tex is OK, he is just a bit grey from all the dust down there."

Has anyone else noticed a slightly altered sense of reality after drinking from LotTPs tea pot?

Yes I have, and I think others are speaking strangely too. Now I wonder, am I drinking too much tea or not enough tea:?:

So kind, LOTP. I need a strong cup of tea after getting stuck in the basement this afternoon. It's a silly place to put stairs if you ask me.

Dom Tyler missed me, but only because he wants an invite to the party to play "Aunt Betty went out and bought an Abacus, a Zimmer Frame, a bicycle and a yacht, and a yak and a yo-yo." I'm going out tonight to dance the Tango - perhaps he would like to come with me. What other dances could we do?

I haven't noticed any untoward side effects from your brews. Am I missing out? Or is it that others have a weak constitution?

Yes, Thank you, I will have some more tea. I find that when I drink enough of your tea, normality begins to return. An imposter has recently posted on this forum. and this thread in particular.

Yes, I will have a second cup, nice and strong. I am sure I don't suffer any after-effects. Are there any nice biskits left?

I have popped in to ensure that there is plenty of tea, biscuits, milk, sugar etc for tomorrow. I will have a plumber here at House of Speicher and he will be demolishing the bathroom, taking off the tiles and making a great big mess. The cat will have kittens because of all the noise, and I will need somewhere to escape to.

Does Mrs Lord of the Teapot know a good recipe for scones, or can she please tell me why my scones turn out like biscuits, and my biskits turn out like scones. Thank you.
