red alert, Arch in girls mags shocker!

The only magazines you'll find at my flat are Cycle, Velovision, and The Ark, magazine of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust - although finance dictates I may have to let that one lapse...

Oooh, I'm going to have to go and get another cuppa soon, I'm freezing.. I have to nip to the postbox.

I must avoid doing what my friend did the other day, post a stack of cards and among them her prepaid riding lesson card. She felt so daft, but the lady at the stables said they can replace it, and then told us of the time she got her morning vitamin supplement mixed up with her dog's heart pill, and spent a week wondering whether to go to the doctor or the vet if she felt ill...

I have managed to upload the photos of the knitted Birthday cards, which I thought Arch might like to see.;)

But the other photos, of the orange-powered clock, and the bicycle-powered radio, will not upload. I get a message saying that the file has too many KBs, that a jpg can only have 75 KBs, and that my pictures have 74.8 KBs. I have tried lowering the resolution of the photo without success, can anyone help? LOTP you seem to know a lot about computers.

I am sure Domtyler would like to see my photos, if only to know that I have not made up the existence of these objects. I could not get a photo of the secret staircase that we couldn't find, for now you will just have to take my word for it.

A nice cuppa while I am here.

woooo finally - if at first you don't succeed, have a cuppa, then try again, and again. I think I was trying to load a file instead of a jpg.;)

The bicycle-powered radio seemed to justify its own New Thread.

BTW I thought the Kopparberg Pear Cider I was drinking this evening tasted slightly stongrer than uusual. (hic)

errr, it's the last friday before xmas, why aren't we having any tea?

You said that this morning. I have been to the Partea. Plenty of mince pies, choccie log, Christmassy cake etc and some dringks, inculding some non-alcofrolic ones. I am now ready for a cuppa and that story.

I will put lots of cups ready, just in case . * wonders where LOTP is, we haven't seen him for ages. *

Evening everyone! I'm quite parched, I've only had one cuppa all day. I'll make my own thanks, unless there's some tar like dregs in the bottom of the pot.

<sits back, furtively opens Razzle under the cover of National Geographic, slurps tea, looks quizzically at the ginger cake chomping bone stroker in the corner, checks back to the mag>
Blimey, it is! :blush::eek:

Hello Chuffy - is it just you and me waiting for Trustysteed's story telling?

Have you read anything interesting in that copy of National Geographic, the one that you are holding upside down?
Well, there is someone who looks remarkably like Arch in my copy of, ahem, 'National Geographic'.:ohmy:

You know, I never knew they came in that colour.

Yes, thank you LOTP, time for a calming cuppa and a biskit(s).

Yesterday afternoon and evening was a bit hectical, need to slow down.
BTW where did you stay in Nottingham. I am thinking of going there for the Bonk Holiday in May (sssshhhh - no advertising). Some peeps are staying at the camp site, but I am not really that way inclined ;). I would prefer a hotel.

I found (from a link from another forummer for Arch to find a hover car B)) a mug which has coloured stripes on the inside to indicate how strong tea should be for a person who likes it milky/traditional English/builders/ or black. I will try and find the site again for you. I have not mastered the teachnique of links, yet.

Hope you find time to pop in later. Have you remembered to buy a present for Arnold?
