I intend to start making my own biscuits, got the walnuts already to make coffee and walnut biskits. Is it permitted in here to use the c*ff** word, if it pertains directly to munchable or dunkable consumables.?

I bought a bike that was too expensive, hardly ever rode it, got unfit, sold it for less than half what I paid for it and then drove everywhere for a year. Now started thinking I should get a new steed, so I've come here for advice. Is that a good idea?!

Already gonna get one of those Smart LED rear lamps being extolled in the commuting section.

Yes that is a good idea. I would suggest that you consider carefully what sort of riding you intend to do, as that is the first question that you will probably be asked. Lots of people (except me) should be able to give you good advice.

I could give you lots of advice about biskits, please note the spelling, and cakes etc, and puddings and dumplings ohh err, getting carried away again here.

Fair weather mostly! Life's too short (now it is, anyway) to be squelching around in wet gear.

Seriously, it'll be commuting and social stuff mostly i.e down the canal on a pub crawl type thing, maybe a forum ride if I can get the miles up, that sort of thing. Think I want a flat barred bike and have £500-900 or so to spend. It started at £500, but it soon goes up when you start looking around, eh?!
