Got me thinking. Most forums are a spin off from a magazine. Perhaps we need a magazine spin off from the forum? Mind you, the Tea? supplement each month would have to be huge!

A magazine with a related cycling forum, sharing the same name?
That's crazy talk. It'll never work!

We could give it a name that describes the forum. We talk about cycling and other things.

We could call the mag 'Cycling And' or something like that.

No, can't think of anything. Oh well.

Not good. I will have to wait until at least end of Feb for an appointment with the Back Surgeon. My GP and Chiropractor have both ruled out Cauda Equina as a diagnosis, and menginitis. The Chiropractor is very understanding, and will be continuing treatment from her. I still have a lot of pain in the right hip, back, neck and shoulders. Doing anything very much is difficult, and I am extremely tired. I was supposed to be on holiday in sunny Austria this week. The hotel was very good, they will deduct the cost of two night's accomodation from my credit card, but will re-credit me with that amount if I book again with them before the end of 2009.

I am also supposed to be part of a six-week project to encourage donations of clothes, bedding etc to a project for the homeless. Also a Conference on using re-cycled materials in Art. As I cannot lift anything, or stand or sit for long periods, these activities could be tricky to say the least.

My phone is permanently on the answering machine. I have almost immediately noticed sympathy from friends and acquaintances, and complete lack of understanding etc from family and relations. My immediate neighbours who would normally be very willing to help, have all unfortunately got big problems of their own at present. However, the light hearted banter and funniness on this forum and this thread in particularly is helping me to keep things in perspective.

Whereabouts are you?
Maybe some of us could offer real tea, help etc instead of virtual versions.

Thank you for the donut Doctor, how did you stop Arch getting the last one?;)

Thanks also for your kind offer of help. I think the best thing I can do is just trundle along at my own pace. There are at least two forummers nearby (ish) but the help I need at the moment is not really cycle related. I think what would help most at the moment is just doing what I can, when I can, without being put under any pressure whatsoever, particularly from family members.
My Chiropractor is very understanding the problems I have, and she is under considerably less pressure than the GP, so she has time to explain things and the options in a easy-to-understand way.
