BJB, my dear late Tom once got as far as drawing a sketch for a design of a collapsible 3 tiered touring cake rack, to take cycle touring, and to impress others while brewing up outside my tent. It never made it to reality, but he thought it sort of summed me up - practical, but fond of dainties.

Arch said:Indeed. We thought perhaps some sort of umbrella arrangement, so that it went down into a tube, but opened up to reveal three layers. I think the cakes would have to travel separately - you'd buy them at the last shop before you pitched camp I suppose. Then all you need is to get your camping bone china teapot out, boil the kettle and you're away.
