Glad you're feeling better, O Speichy one!

White merlot *glu glu glug*
A cheese straw that got left from last night
And can I interest you in some chorizo and Manchego? they go very nicely with wine. Or I have some roast lamb left if you fancy a bit? It's not got cold yet.
*pours glass of Burgundy*

May I have some more sausage rolls and cheese straws please, and white Merlot. Since about 3pm this afternoon, I feel as if I am beginning to return to  normal.

* Goes to cupboard to find secret supplies of cheese straws *

OOOps forgot to tidy up last night. There was an altercation in the cupboard last night involving Alecstilleyedye and myself and Mrs Alecstilleyedye. ;) That followed a discussion about the "chocolate man".

What was all that about? Should I go off in search, or am I better off not knowing?

*nips off*
*comes back*

Didn't realise you made a habit of hiding in cupboards!
I'll check carefully before entering any.

I take it chips are hard to come by in Yangzhou, then?
*googles Yangzhou*
*sees wikipedia article*
*checks local highlights*
Yangzhou picles, ginkgo trees, jadeware, fried rice and not chips.
It looks nice in the pictures though.
I must go to China sometime - the closest I've got was Hong kong.

Speicher,

Would you favour your walnut bread toast thickly cut and slathered with Welsh Salty Butter - the kind that's so salty you can see the salt crystals shimmering in it and NOT repeat NOT some horrid euphamism thankyou, Doctor; and served with a delicate Ceylon?

or, if you prefer it French fashion, I could slice it melba thin and you could enjoy your toast with a selection of local cheeses and maybe a glass of Campbell's Rutherglen Muscat. Very warming this time of year....
