Cheers matey.
We still on for the 12th then? Looking to do a local Audax this coming Sunday:biggrin:, and I have a sinking feeling I've committed to driving some mates to the Marmotte so I can have a bash at Alpe D'Huez.
We need a 'OMFG what have I done' type smiley...

Nothing wrong with your rear end. I've seen it. As you know. A male bottom with some meat on it is much better than a bony one. ;)

Ditto for female ones IMHO. I'd be happier if mine was just a little less expansive. I'm not looking to go super-skinny, just a bit thinner than I am now.

Have you got some lycra on yet? If you're part-way through getting changed I think I'd rather not know.
Damn, I'm going to be thinking about it anyway now...

Oh yes, all sorted for the 12th and looking forward it immensely!;)
My stop over on the Friday night is sorted and I should be confident enough with my clipless pedals to not fall over sideways and embarrass myself!

One more cup then I must get veloing!

Bore da pawb. Thanks for the offer of another cuppa Tdr1nka, but sleep got the better of me (I'm an awful party pooper me!). Must have been exhausted after fending off the dead cycling sheep:biggrin:.
I'm going for a nice cuppa now to the canteen. Might get some toast too, even though I've already had my weetabix. Got some luvvly shortbread for afternoon break if anyone wants any with their cuppa later.

Wafflycat - hope you've got your rear end on your bicycle this morning! Come on, nothing more motivational then a bit of banter and a cuppa to start your day!

OK - PM nearer the time (like when the five-day forecast is up on the BBC site, so that'll be Wednesday 9th or so) and we can nail everything down.

Hi Plax - I'll maybe take you up on the shortbread. I got some bara brith here...;)

Bore da pawb? Is that Welsh for good morning?

It's a plan! Nail everything down? Is this a premonition of gale force wind?

Plax, while you are in Welsh translation mode, what is 'Where's the tea?'in Welsh? I have a friend from near Newport and I can use this phrase to my advantage! TY in advance.

Right I have my lycra shorts on, my CC 'Friedly' jersey and one SPD shoe, nearly ready to roll!;)

Bore Da pawb = Good morning everyone
Where's the tea = Ble mae te or we'd probably say Ble mae panad (o te). There may well be regional differences between us 'oop North and the South though. We say Llefrith for milk for example and thay say Llaith. Should think a panad was a panad where ever you go though!

So pawb is 'everyone' then? Dimly remember learning 'Bore Da' when I worked on an IT helpdesk for the DVLA. Mostly resetting passwords, that was. I always set them to Llanelli as I was the only one on the team who could pronounce it, let alone spell it...

Whereabouts in North Wales are you? I've got rellies around Conwy and Llanfairfechan, so I've been going there since I was a very small Timelord. One of my favourite climbs in the UK is Sychnant Pass, just behind Conwy.

Well ain't that something - I'm originally from Llanfairfechan! Most of my family is still there. I live near Llanberis now.
I've walked the Sychnant Pass - In my formative years my nain used to take us from Sychnant Pass and over the mountain into Conwy where we used to have tea and a scone!

It's lovely up there. On a very clear day a few years ago I'm sure I could see the Isle of Man. It was the only thing it could have been in that direction.
Nest time I'm up there I'll drop you a PM and we can meet up for a ride, if you'd like?

Morning all, everyone seems to be in good spirits!

Definitely a day of mixed emotions yesterdy - got the keys to the new (rented) house  but lordy it needs a good scrub - the fridge in particular ;)

My immediate thought on reading this was "Tusks? WTF?"

Hope that wasn't too smelly a job... Don't know quite what it is about fridges, but if you leave them a bit with the power off a whole new ecosystem seems to evolve, and it's normally a fairly gross one.

If there's tusks showing through my lycra that would be a very bad sign!
