Every time I play footy, I remind myself "never again" but that's normally due to the physical exertion!

Would you like a serviette for those crumbs Doc?

I think The Doctor needs a hoover!

The last time I had a kick about with some friends and a bunch of local kids we were joined by a guy in training kit who asked if he could join in.
We agreed and he said he'd play on the same team as the kids to which he ran rings round us all showing us up for the unfit competetive Dads we were. The kids loved it!
When we were packing up one of my friends asked if he played often to which he replied that he'd just been signed for a 2nd division team in Yorkshire, was in London visiting relatives and thanked us for letting him join us!!

I think we should let the antlered ungulate puns lie fallow for a bit... We really should rein deer in.

Speicher - I don't know either of those hotels from personal experience (don't tend to need hotels, living here!), but know of them and reckon they'd be OK. Probably Lady Anne is a fraction nearer to the middle of town and stuff, and a nicer walk (the Blue Bridge one being on the edge of York's only gyratory system. The only issue is, if the river happens to be up - the Lady Anne is on Skeldergate which can get cut off - yes even in May! Although I'm pretty certain they have a rear entrance further up the hill for that eventuality. If you are still looking, there are some nice B and B's on Bishopthorpe Road, which is a nice area. Again, not much experience, but I think the Bay Tree is nice... Any further advice required on places to eat etc, let me know... As the Doc says *adminsters playful slap to Doc's head*, we students do little else but drink and eat out...

Landers, my B-i-L broke his ankle playing football and apparently by the time the paramedics arrived, the pain was so bad he was using swearwords no one even knew existed!

Ouchy!
Did he teach you any of them? I've often wondered about starting a thread where people could go and let fly with some choice expletives - not aimed at anyone in particular, more somewhere to vent some rage after a particularly crap day at work or after needing to contact BT via their call centre...

Cookiemonster, is Copenhagen a nice airport. I have been there but had about 14 minutes to get from one side to the other. Very confusing, because I was "in transit" I did not expect to have to pass through Passport Control, and lost valuable minutes doing that.

They must be very organised there, because my luggage made the connection! impressive. ;)
