Mornings!
Earl Grey anyone? I've missed this these last few days. They'd carefully laid supplies of most things (cheese, wine, a major revamp of the shop/cafe etc, rediscovery of a old well by the local archeologist), but no Earl Grey...

Has the Doctor gone now? I was going to offer to brush his back gently with an ostrich feather duster (combined with gentle blowing) to get rid of the fibres....

Arch, I'd love a gentle blow... the feather duster thing sounds a little perverse, but I believe I'd enjoy it:biggrin:

And [quick squiz through 30 pages] hope you enjoyed the horsey goodness. What's with all the weird avatars? Are we all trying to be Bonj?[/quick squiz through 30 pages]

Well, here I am. Any tea on the go?

Nice little exhibition last night. Whistlejacket the star of the show of course, but some nice other Stubbs stuff. Apparently "whistlejacket" was a 'medicinal' drink of gin and treacle, and the horse may have been named after it because of his slightly golden coat colour. Still a stunning picture. Suspect I'll be wandering in there a lot while it's here...

Didn't partake of drink though and no idea if there were nibbles - all tht was upstairs, and once I'd seem the paintings, I just ambled off home for a bit plate of spaghetti carbonara....

Doctor! You're back! *crushing bear hug*

Someone said we should all swap avatars. I borrowed your samovar for a few minutes, but it just didn't fit, and I felt wierd, so I'm sticking with the elephant. I did give it a quick wash before I put it back....

Tea? We have a new Earl Grey officionado here, Night Train. You'll be able to compare brands...

Morning All!

I think I may owe you all an apology...
Mickle suggested changing avatars to confuse bonj, so I naturally thought that to cause maximum confusion I should change mine to...
It seems to have caught on with some alarming results along the way (especially for Arch)!

Back when we lived in Ireland, my Mum used to make (and teach the making of, at evening class), soft toys. But for a while central Belfast was a bit too lively to go to, so she hadn't got access to a good haberdashery. One year a friend back in England asked what she could send as a Christmas present, and Mum sent a list of things for toymaking, and apparently the friend wandered into a big department store and asked a young male assistant "excuse me, can you tell me where I can get felt?". And then realised what she'd said...
